Deaf Entreprenurial Training Program

The Deaf Entrepreneurial Program at the Deaf Culture Center of New Mexico is designed to empower Deaf, DeafBlind, and hard-of-hearing individuals by providing them with the skills, resources, and mentorship needed to start and grow their businesses. Our population often struggles to obtain and maintain full-time equitable employment.
This provides job opportunities by and for the Deaf community, creating the foundations needed to build economic resilience and self-reliance
.
This program enables participants to learn the essentials of business management, such as budgeting, marketing, and networking, and to present their culinary skills.

Qualify

To start a successful baking/cooking/coffee shop business, you need baking/cooking experience and entrepreneurial skills or knowledge of creating a business plan. If you don't have these skills, you can take an entrepreneurial and cooking/baking course. We will guide you to the right place in preparation for running your business at our walk-up coffee shop.
